Science has always been DESPERATE to figure out a way to prove that sex is a viable form of exercise. But it really isn't. It's a minor form of exercise, like laughing or doing karaoke.
A new study by the University of Montreal just came up with new numbers on the calories burned during sex.
And the answer is a man burns 4.2 calories per minute during sex, a woman burns 3.1. That's around the same amount as you'd burn walking or ballroom dancing.
So, based on your standard two minutes of staying power, a man would burn 8.4 calories and a woman would burn 6.2. That means a man would burn off about two-and-a-half M&M's and a woman would burn off almost two.
But if you have the kind of stamina that only R&B singers seem to have and last an hour, a man would burn 252 calories and a woman would burn 186.
